About Us
The Islandmagee Camera & Digital Imaging Club has a current membership made up from both novice and the more advanced, but all the members, regardless of their status have a shared common interest, to help each other to produce better well made pictures and images, regardless of the equipment used, and thereby get more from our beloved hobby.
Member's current equipment range from 35mm SLR film camera to digital camera kit. The digital aspect can be either a simple modest point-and-shoot digicam to a full blown dSLR. At the end of the day, it's not solely the equipment which matters, but in how we use and employ that equipment to produce better taken and more creative photos.
As can be seen from our listed programme, the club tries its best at all times to provide a full and varied range of interests, activities and hopefully all subject matter well catered. With a variation of special guest speakers during the season's programme, a number of practical evenings, and with a huge input from the current membership it should all add up for a most rewarding and entertaining photographic experience for everyone.
What You Can Do Next
The Islandmagee Camera & Digital Imaging Club meet at "The Blowing Club" Whitehead each Monday evening 8pm throughout the season and at other times for special events or club outings.
Our clubrooms at "The Bowling Club" provide excellent facilities, clean well heated and spacious rooms, where we are not restricted by any specific closing time, so not putting any stress on our guests to finish by a certain time, a full night can be enjoyed by all its members.
The club has an extensive range of studio lighting, backdrops equipment, a fully equipted wet film darkroom and with access to a comprehensive rang of digital imaging, printing and computer equipment, all provided as a benefit to our members, certainly brings our club upto date with current technology, and bang into the 21st century.
